Terms & Conditions
Applies to the Richmond Cellar website and mobile app. Effective date: September 26, 2026.
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Richmond Cellar website and mobile application (together, the "Services"), operated by Richmond Cellar General Trading L.L.C. ("Richmond Cellar," "we," "us," or "our"), registered at Safran Street, Next to Lulu Xpress Fresh Market, Hamdan Street, Abu Dhabi, UAE. By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility / 21+
The Services are intended only for individuals who are 21 years of age or older and legally permitted to purchase and receive alcoholic beverages in the UAE. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you do not, you must not use the Services.
3. Website and Mobile Application
These Terms apply equally to your use of richmondcellar.com and the Richmond Cellar mobile application on iOS and Android. Some features may only be available on the website or only in the app.
4. Account Registration
To place an order, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information, including your name, mobile number, and email address. You are responsible for keeping your account information up to date.
5. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at customerservice@richmondcellar.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account that occurs because you failed to keep your credentials secure.
6. Orders
When you place an order through the Services, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products. We may accept or decline any order at our discretion, including where an item is unavailable, your delivery address falls outside our delivery area, or we are unable to verify your age or identity.
7. Product Information
We aim to describe products accurately, including pricing, packaging, and availability, but do not guarantee that product descriptions or images are always complete or error-free. If a product is listed incorrectly, we may cancel or correct the affected order.
8. Pricing & Availability
Prices are shown in AED and may change at any time before you complete your order. Products are subject to availability. If an item you ordered becomes unavailable, we will handle it as described in our Shipping Policy and issue a refund for the affected item where applicable.
9. Payments
You can pay for your order online by card, online via a Stripe Link (a secure Stripe-hosted payment option), or in cash or by card at the time of delivery, where our delivery agent brings a card machine. Online payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment provider. By placing an order, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the total order amount, including any applicable delivery fees.
10. Age Verification
Because we sell alcoholic beverages, we are required to verify that you are 21 or older before completing your order and at the point of delivery. Our delivery personnel may request a valid Emirates ID or passport to confirm your age and identity. We may refuse to complete a delivery if we are unable to verify your age or if you appear to be intoxicated, in accordance with our Shipping Policy.
11. Delivery
Delivery is provided in accordance with our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Delivery areas, fees, minimum order values, and delivery windows are described there and may change from time to time.
12. Cancellation
You may cancel an order before it has been dispatched by contacting us. Once an order has been dispatched for delivery, it may no longer be possible to cancel it. See our Shipping Policy for further detail.
13. Refunds / Returns
Refunds and returns are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
14. Richmond Rewards
If you choose to participate in Richmond Rewards, you may earn and redeem points on qualifying purchases, subject to the rewards program terms in effect at the time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Richmond Rewards, or any part of it, at our discretion, and will take reasonable steps to notify you of material changes.
15. Barcode/QR Features
Richmond Rewards includes a membership barcode within the app that you can present at checkout to identify your account and access your rewards. You're responsible for keeping your account and device secure to prevent unauthorized use of this feature.
16. Promotions
We may offer promotional discounts, referral incentives, or other special offers from time to time. Promotions are subject to their own specific terms, which may include eligibility requirements, minimum order values, and expiry dates, and which we may change or withdraw at any time except where an order has already been placed in reliance on them.
17. Acceptable Use / Prohibited Activities
You agree not to: use the Services for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access the Services using another person's account or identity; interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Services; upload harmful code or content; misuse Richmond Rewards or promotional offers, including through duplicate accounts or fraudulent activity; or resell or redistribute alcoholic beverages purchased through the Services other than for personal use. We may suspend or terminate your account for any violation of this section.
18. Intellectual Property
All content on the Richmond Cellar website and app, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to Richmond Cellar and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute this content without our prior written permission, except for your personal, non-commercial use of the Services.
19. Third-Party Services
The Services may rely on or link to third-party services, including payment, authentication, analytics, and mapping providers. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
20. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information.
21. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, we do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
22. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, Richmond Cellar is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable UAE law, including Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection.
23. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Richmond Cellar harmless from claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.
24. Account Suspension/Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services if you breach these Terms, misuse Richmond Rewards or promotions, or engage in fraudulent or abusive conduct. You may close your account at any time by contacting us or, where available, using the account deletion option in the app.
25. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as through the app or by posting an updated version with a new effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
26. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Abu Dhabi.
